The next time your inner critic says something mean to you, try one or more of these handy disengagement techniques:

  1. Go away.

  2. @%$# off! (and die).

  3. Tell it to someone who cares.

  4. I feel sad when you talk to me that way.

  5. Well, excuuuse me!

  6. Ouch!

  7. You got me.

  8. You are making me feel worse.

  9. Don't even start with me.

  10. I feel sad you knocked the wind out of me you sapped my energy I feel lost and THIS IS MY TRUTH!
